A Letter To A Suffering Friend


Good Morning Heather, 
As I hear your pain, I am moved with empathy for you. So, I share this thought as an offering of hope, deliverance, and victory to encourage you and help you through your storm.
Pain and sorrow associated with being misunderstood, judged, and disappointed in people you love and care for, is a reality we all go through from time to time. Three things that contribute to it, and all too often feed this discord.
Ø First, peoples lack love, understanding, and compassion.
Ø Second, how we respond to others about the decisions we make in our lives, be they good or bad.
Ø Third, the work of the devil to create and maintain an atmosphere of division so he can conquer.
But here is a solution. In Ephesians 6:7-8 the Apostle Paul wrote:
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Heather, no matter what, ask God to give you the strength to sow mercy, grace, kindness, and faith. When you do so, I have faith that you will see a difference in your life that will compel you to give God praise and thanksgiving for what He has done for you.

Get A Piece of the Rock Text: Psalms 61 By Rev. Dr. Russell M. Morrow This Psalm of David was set in the background of David's trouble as King of Israel. King David is in big trouble,   He is in exile from Jerusalem in defense of his kingdom.   His nation was divided. And his son Absalom was killed by his soldiers. A Framework for Living Life Well In A World of Chaos By Rev. Dr. Russell M. Morrow As a young pastor with a young wife and three young children, stairstepped in age, from October 9th to November 15th  I was striving to be a faithful man of  God, growing in His Word and appreciating his gift of grace in Jesus Christ.
